Early Sunday Morning with "Royal Ocean"

Crawling out of bed at 5 am on a Sunday morning is a struggle, but on this particular Sunday, I was wide awake before my alarm had a chance to startle me to conciseness. That’s because this morning was our (w/ Jonny Sundell) shoot with Peter’s stunning Porsche RWB 993 “Royal Ocean” and it’s recently applied Cup Series livery.

The moment I met Peter & “Royal Ocean” in his driveway, I knew this Sunday morning would be one I would remember for a long time to come. It’s shoots like this where an owner, their car, and the story they share stands out above the rest, and leaves you wanting more.

We spent the whole morning shooting photos and videos, including an interview with Peter sharing his story of events that led up to the first RWB build in Canada. (Video link at the bottom of the post).

Datsun 510

The famous Blues Brother line “We’re putting the band back together!” is how Jonny put it when he invited me to join him on a shoot of this Datsun 510 in Richmond, BC, Canada.

It had been sometime since Jonny and I shot together, but a few minutes in and it felt like old times… maybe even better than old times.
